He was subsequently appointed as the CEO of Agri SA Enterprises (PTY) Ltd. the commercial arm of Agri SA. He manages a team that has a strong strategic focus on agriculture development, strategy, operations and dealmaking in the industry.

Buyambo Mantashe
Business Development Manager
BSc Agric Econ, MSc Agric Econ (Cum Laude), MAP

Buyambo is currently the Business Development Manager for Agri SA Enterprises. His experience in the agricultural sector is broad as it started as a Junior Economist with the National Agricultural Marketing Council and Production Advisor with the National Wool Growers Association. His experience has however touched primary agriculture, spreading to the value chain and through to strategic work in the industry.

Craig Murrell
Strategy Lead
BSc Agric Econ (Hons)

Craig currently leads the strategy division at Agri Enterprises and actively develops agricultural projects across all 9 provinces in the country. He has been involved with traditional leader consultation and coordination for two years while at Agri SA – later Agri Enterprises. Craig is skilled in financial modelling with a key focus across various agronomic crops. Coordination entails the origination, budgeting, research, modelling, structuring, compliance, deal making and packaging of projects to get them ready for credit / investment committee.

Westley Ferguson
Operations and Agri Funding Lead
BSc Agric Econ (Hons)

Westley’s key focus is running the strategy and operations business unit. The agricultural impact fund fits hand and glove within this function. Westley is managing the origination of over 225 agricultural opportunities in the country.

Sulaimaan Patel
Training and Development Lead
BSc Agric Econ (Hons)

Sulaimaan is responsible for managing and co-ordinating training and development programs across South Africa, content and module development for agricultural training courses and market research for developing products to service and enhance the livestock sector in South Africa. Sulaimaan has various certifications in animal production and management. Sulaimaan has a knack for identifying business opportunities, product origination and development.

Leoné de Lange
Chief of Staff
BCom Human Resources Management, Accredited Skills Development Facilitator

Leoné graduated from the University of Pretoria where she obtained her degree in Human Resource Management. She is the Chief of Staff and is the commander of most of our day-to-day engagements. She is known for her inclination to take initiative, adapt and improve in changing circumstances. Her commitment to tasks enables her to uphold the dynamic work environment of Agri Enterprises. She is a detail-orientated person which helps her to perform exceptionally well when problem-solving.

Shané Rudolph
Head of Market Research
Agricultural Economist, Bcom(hon) agricultural economics

Shané completed her Bachelor of Commerce specializing in agricultural economics (Bcom Agri-Business Management), followed by an Honours degree in Bcom Agricultural Economics at the University of Pretoria. After concluding her Honours, she managed a small-scale organic vegetable farm specifically to develop a practical understanding to ensure her industry relevance. She believes understanding the roots carries actual tangible value.

Deon Loots
Head of Human Resource Management

With more than 30 years’ experience in Human Resources and Industrial relations management the full spectrum of people management was handled on all levels. Extensive experience was gained in the mining, agricultural, manufacturing and retail industries. This ranges from wage negotiations, CCMA, Labour court matters to training, recruitment, employee contracts, performance appraisal systems and disciplinary matters. I have also assisted Companies with equity plans, BBBEE, kills development and productivity measurement tools. Over the last 4 years I have provided services to various large corporates and smaller entities with the full spectrum of Human Resources and Industrial relations requirements.

Anri Maré
Financial Manager BCom Accounting Sciences (Hons) CA (SA) RA

Anri is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 10 years experience. Anri is in charge of the financial management, controls, and reporting for Agri Enterprises. She is responsible for overseeing everything and anything to do with finance – debtors, creditors, banks, books, statements & payrolls. Her experience in Accounting ensures the financial wellbeing of Agri Enterprises and drives the entity forward with commitment and innovation.

Johannes Möller
Chairman

Johannes Moller (B.Sc Agric (Hons)) is a farmer, he was the former President of Agri SA, Agri SA representative and co-founder of World Farmers Organisation. His exposure in organized agriculture over an extended period has led him to involvement in disaster-related matters, credit negotiations on behalf of affected regions, and regular engagement with the banking sector. Johannes has been involved in practical farming for several years, where financial and credit management experience was gained. With his regular interaction with the banking sector concerning land reform and related finance as well as financing policies, it currently plays an integral part in the activities of Agri Enterprises.

Piet Engelbrecht
Director

Piet Engelbrecht is a 3rd generation citrus farmer from Marble Hall, Limpopo. He is the manager of the Piet Engelbrecht Trust which is a key grower, marketer and exporter of some of the best quality citrus fruit that South Africa has to offer. He is very involved in the citrus and agricultural communities serving as a director for 12 agricultural companies. His 29 years’ experience in the citrus industry and passion for agricultural development and food security has motivated Piet to join Agri Enterprises and continue supporting the growth and development of the agricultural industry.

She started her career with Mutual and Federal and proceeded to work for two other insurance companies before she decided to complete her articles and practised as an attorney. She practised as an attorney for 6 years and there after went back to the corporate world in 2002. She worked as a Legal Advisor and Company Secretary for Spescom Limited and Airports Company South Africa (ÀCSA). She then joined Holland as Group Company Secretary and proceeded to being Executive Head of Governance at Hollard and her portfolio includes Group Legal, Company Secretariat and Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD). She is currently an Executive at Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA) where she is responsible for strategic initiatives and partnerships. Nyeleti is a member of a number of professional bodies and she is a non-executive director and trustee of various organizations including the ISFAP Trust.

Angelo Petersen
Director

Angelo Petersen is an experienced senior executive, board chairman, director, general manager and business leader. He has been active in the transformation process in the fruit export and agricultural sector with particular focus on the establishment of commercial black fruit export farmers, and is experienced in dealing with the complexities and dynamics of public institutions, board governance and challenging stakeholders. This was gained serving as a director on the boards of a number of leading agri businesses, industry bodies and public sector entities. Angelo is currently the chairperson of NAMC, non-executive chairperson of Capespan Namibia and Capespan Farms, non-executive director of Agri Enterprises (Pty) Ltd and industry body Hortgro (Pty) Ltd. Prior to this, he was the Chairperson of the PPECB from 2013 – 2020 and the Executive Head: Global HR/ Corporate Services and subsidiary board director at global fruit marketer and logistics player, the Capespan Group (CGL). Angelo joined CGL in 1999 and held increasingly senior positions in strategy, human resources and general management.”
