Agri Enterprises was appointed to conduct a market entry & penetration study in the biodegradable plastics industry.

The plastic industry in South Africa has a relatively high collection, recycling and recyclability rate (of between 37%-47). The role of biodegradable plastics in South Africa is still being developed. The leading institute in the world – the Ellen McArthur Foundation – provides guidance that by 2025 all plastic in the world needs to either be recyclable, reusable or compostable (i.e. biodegradable).

Agri Enterprises implemented a consultative process with scores of stakeholders in the plastics industry to create informed insights to the client.
